I EAT WHAT I WANT. Because for the record I ate three hamburgers. Then made a fourth for that picture. And then ate it.

>>2944 Like Nagatoro, Kaguya-sama and the like, it's a romcom about some girl with a quirk. I don't mind it but it usually leads to dozens of chapters where the relationship is a status quo and nothing much ends up happening plot wise. I'm use to stories pushing forward, so I'll probably check this out when/if it ends.
Should I blame Watamote for this awful manga/anime trend? I mean shit like Urusei Yatsura already existed like 40 years ago but I hate FOTM anime about some girl with a distinctive personality and the whole world revolves around her, so annoying.

Guilty pleasures / Stuff you won't reveal Bakanon 06/24/2021 (Thu) 17:51:01 No. 1714 [Reply] [Last]
I know you folks like to act tough on the internet, but what are the little stuff you do enjoy and like doing, even just for the silliest of reasons. Share your guilty pleasures, things you won't share otherwise. I love watching the silly facebook-mom tier videos, watch this puppy try to grab his own tail, watch little girl try to sing, this panda can't climb a ladder, the usual shit which I never actively choose to watch, but if it appears I watch it for hours. I guess it started with trying to show some videos to my parents, not be seen just staring at a dark theme website all day long, but I now unironically enjoy it. And seem to always sneak a view or two.

>>1721 What you have Anon is an "Oral fixation." No, not like that. Basically, the part of human development at an early stage in life is wanting to suck on something, typically a mother's breasts for milk. Most people grow out of this however there are some that still have it active their whole life, so they substitute stuff like lollipop sticks, pen caps even lego bricks to satisfy the craving. t. I have it and I knew a babysitter years ago that had it as well. >>1876 Alive 2007 has kind of ruined Discovery and Human After All for me, because once you hear Superheroes, Human After All, Rock'n Roll mixed together in a song, going back to the single tracks means you're missing something. >>1714 I regularly talk to myself. To the point I have to vocalize thoughts to understand them. Sometimes I do feel like I'm talking to someone behind me but it helps me function, just can't do it in front of other people, they'd probably already know something's wrong with me so no need to tip entire hand.

Artflow.ai Thread Bakanon 09/04/2021 (Sat) 19:18:48 No. 2362 [Reply] [Last]
https://artflow.ai/ is a site that generates faces based on your text inputs using AI, neural networks and similar science magic. The results vary a lot, from straight up bad to PS2-era CGI-tier. It takes a couple of hours to generate these images, so you may want to leave the page open in the background while doing something else.

Experiences learning a subject you don't like Bakanon 09/14/2021 (Tue) 17:57:20 No. 2717 [Reply]
Reposting because I forgot one * on the Spoiler Basically the title. In my case I got into an programing related major and later realised I fucking hate programing but because I'm a stubborn autists I stayed there instead of changing my subject. During the last two years I tried to get better at programing coding Ib-related and statistics related apps on Python, because I fucking love statistics I supposed this would make me like coding but instead it's getting the total opposite effect, it's making me hate Statistics. So, what are your experiences having to learn stuff you don't like? I fucking hate Python to the guts. I hope everyone involved on its development get AIDS

OP here, now I'm taking a data analytics course and good lord, I used to like statistics and shit but now I have started hating it. I swear for god when I finished this garbage major I will hate every single academic subject I have ever been interested in. These last five years have been the most tedious and horrid of my life. >>2717 Yeah, my university's psychologist told me I should connect the stuff I like to the subjects I don't like from my major, which at the time I thought it was a neat idea but now I know it an absolute mongoloid suggestion. >Regarding the thread's subject, I completely despise the theoretic part of everything Funny, I'm backwards. I absolutely despite applications, I prefer theoretical approach of learning stuff. >>2752 I've always hated the way people think that >practicing math = repetitive and dull The problem is most math teachers doesn't know how to teach math so instead of properly introducing the different subject's items they just put the equations and ask the students to repeat them ad nauseam, which is idiotic once you realise the entirely of math is based on the idea of taking certain obvious ideas from reality and create stuff that isn't really that obvious. For instance, last month I taught my niece the general solution of the second grade equation and I start from the obvious idea that: >3x(2+5)=3x2+3x5 And she totally understood me despite not being really interested in math. She even asked me about the general solution for third grade equations and I had the chance to tell her the tale of italian mathematicians doing math contests to see who's going to be the next math teacher. It was cool.
>>2717 If you're autistic, try embedded programming, assembly, ANSI C. The good shit. Failing that, the best way I've found to do this is a meditative exercise. For about 10-20 minutes before you start working, sit down and clear your mind. Then, visualize gathering all your negative feelings together inside of you and breathing them out in the form of a dark cloud. Breathe in positive feelings instead, in the form of a luminescent cloud. Your breathing here should be 4-4-4-4, breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold, making sure you use your entire lung (vase breath). Do this by stretching your left arm fully to the left, then holding your left nostril closed with your left arm with your elbow at shoulder height, breathe in, hold, forcefully breathe out, hold, then mirror the movement with your right arm on the right side. Do each side 3 times, then breathe in fully and lean forward until you bend about 90 degrees, pressing the last bit of air out of your lungs. Then just meditate with a clear mind, and as the end nears, tell yourself you love this work and are happy to be doing it, visualizing good feelings as a luminescent cloud you breathe in through your entire being, not just your nostrils, but your skin as well. I know it sounds new agey, but just test it out.
>>2951 >If you're autistic I'm considering that I might be actually unironically autistic. My father always told me since I was so proficient on school I was a bit autistic and nowadays I'm scared to actually go to a psychologyst and discover that I have autism (that honestly would explain a lot) But that aside, I honestly don't like programing, I see it as a tool to do other stuff, I'm more into math and teaching, that's why I can't stand programing related subjects.

>>2927 I sat down, I couldn't do a single thing they asked of me, they showed me around the office and told me "don't call us, we'll call you", and I had a denial mail before I had got home. All in all, about as well as can be expected.
>>2928 Well that's not the worst that could have happened. It makes me wonder how many people they get who show up and have the same thing happen to them? Anyway, I can relate since some years back I mentioned to a family member I was looking for a new job. So, without letting me know, they applied me for an internship at the company they worked at and told me about it right before a remote interview. I had no idea what the position was for or anything about the company and about three minutes in I nearly broke down trying to explain to them I had no idea what they were asking and I didn't want the position at all since someone else applied for me. Good times.

I still sleep with the same blanket that was given to me the day I was born and that I have used all my life to sleep with, and not having it by my side at night causes me great uneasiness and bad sleep. There was a case when I was 16 years old where I wet the bed because I didn't have my blanket with me. This is not so strange, is it? I'm not the only one who feels the need to have a blanket or stuffed animal nearby so I can sleep and be calmer, right?

>>2825 I guess, but in my case is more like a child who sleeps with his teddy bear, just in adult form. >>2836 >Wearing this shirt to bed while hugging my fox makes me feel lonely since I didn’t get emotional support like I needed. In my case it's the opposite. Having my blanket in my hands and touching it with my face makes the faint but constant voice that reminds me of the times I fucked up become silent, sometimes replacing it with a strange feeling of melancholy.
>>2821 I used to have a pillow that I'd ALWAYS sleep with. I still have the pillowcase neatly folded away in my room's armoire. It's white, with a green band on one end with three dinosaurs stitched into it, all of them herbivores. It smells like the armoire now. I used that pillowcase until I wore through the seams, and even then I kept using it until it split open entirely. I never needed the pillow for a good night's sleep, but if I had the choice I always chose it. Nowadays I don't sleep as well, but that has more to do with my Internet addiction than any sort of attachment to my OG pillowcase.
I slept with multiple stuffed animals in the bed until I was 17, because I love cute stuff, and I can't sleep very good without my arm wrapped around something. I swapped my big bunny out for an extra pillow folded in half, because I needed to keep my arm elevated while recovering from an injury. Nowadays I have the stuffed lion pillow that was a parting gift from my best friend, who moved away when I was 8, (He died just a few years ago. His parents flew back and held the funeral close enough that I could attend.) I keep it underneath my normal pillow; I have the folded pillow to wrap my arm around, even though my injuries have fully healed; my stuffed animals are in a storage bin in my closet, while the big bunny overlooks the room from atop a dresser; and I get to snuggle up with my cats, who I shove the folded pillow aside for.
