Emulation Thread Anonymous 11/16/2020 (Mon) 17:51:07 Id:0f8723 No. 5 [Reply]
Having fun? What have you been emulating? I've been emulating some DMC and R&C. Bretty fucking comfy. I've also been playing some Demon's Souls since the remake it's a dumpster fire.

I want to emulate Beyond Good and Evil since the PC port is supposed to be dog shit. Not sure which version I should emulate though, probably GC I guess?
>>13 Yeah, the GC version is the best one next the OG xbox version. I think the PS2 version has framerate issues.
Welp ended up playing Chibi Robo on GC instead of Beyond Good and Evil. Was fun, cute and charming game, but for some reason I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I always have that "you could use your time better" feel even though I only played when I was done with everything else for the day.

Megami Tensei Games Anonymous 11/16/2020 (Mon) 09:03:19 Id:5d8838 No. 3 [Reply]
Let's have a Megami Tensei thread. What's your favourite: >Game >Demon >OST >Character >Story
1 post omitted.
>Game Nocturne >Demon My top 5 (in order): 1) Satan 2) Beelzebub 3) Seth 4) Barong 5) Quetzalcoatl >OST Persona 3 >Character Akihiko Sanada >Story Devil Survivor
>>3 >What's your favourite game I can tell you my least favorite: the entire persona franchise.
>>8 For mainline, SMT IV is probably the easiest for Personafags to adjust to, but I think Nocturne does a better job at intriguing the player through its presentation and early game storytelling. Either works, it's just a matter of deciding between tonal familiarity, more similar difficulty levels, and quality of life improvements (SMT IV) or a more compelling setting with better graphics and art style (Nocturne). For non-mainline, I recommend Devil Survivor 1. The 3DS version is objectively better than the DS original, which is not always the case with Atlus' enhanced ports.

Post vidya that was only released in Japan. What are some of your favorites? Any games that to this day still doesn't have fan translation? First ones that come to mind are SMT II and Clock Tower on the SNES.
